"Motivation: Act as a catalyst for the growth of a company"


Motivation means to provide intellect, reward, entrust, or concern those results in a particular action or absolute behavior or conduct. Even a simple action of eating is motivated by hunger. As literacy is motivated by desire of gaining knowledge. From incentive to necessity anything can work as a motivator.
Here we have some ways through which you can motivate your employees without using money as a tool. Because money not always works as a motivator for those who are career conscious. So you should try to use these following tips as to motivate your team.

Understand and acknowledge your employees career objectives.
Some employees are on the track of some specific career path so you just need to know their career objectives and give them a chance to perform at a higher level and let them show their potential. Because those who are career conscious are not always motivate by money. So time to time we have to tell them the about the upcoming opportunity and promotion and upward mobility in the organization. I think it can work wonder for the growth of an organization. 

Employee retention
Retaining old employees always better then to recruit new one on that place because by recruiting new employee you are not loosing money, time and talent. Rather we also loose the loyalty of employees on the other side. We are spending so much time to train an employee. So the supervisors and team leaders have to determine how they can make them loyal towards the organization by using best management practices. 

Job Security
The most important thing is to motivate employees is Job Security. Because it leaves the good impact on an employee by doing so we can get the 100% of the employee. Till the time he is not secure with us he will always thinking of job termination and trying other things to get their life on track. Money does not work in the absence of job security. 

Enhance cultural values and working atmosphere
By enhancing the cultural values and working atmosphere, you can motivate the employees. Everyone would like to work with that organization which has good working conditions and cultural values. High level of employee retention and employee engagement leaves good impact on employees and they are less likely to leave the organization. Company mission and vision works wonder to boost up the morale of the employees as they are seeking their growth with that organization.

Need to redefine job requirements and create more challenging jobs
One of the most important factors to motivate employees is to redefine their jobs. As sometimes they get bored by doing his routine jobs. Skills you must own ; as a HR Professional


Being an HR Professional I would like to share some of my views or you can say the skills which I realize that every HR professional must have. The job of a HR professional is a very responsible job. Every manager should have a positive approach while performing his duties to keep the mission and vision of the company in mind. The job of a HR manager starts from a recruitment and then it is keep moving with an employee life cycle till his exit from an organization. Here we have some skills which are important for every HR Professional in his career.

Organization
HR Professionals requires an organizing approach. Time management, organizing records and personal efficiency are the key skills of the human resource management. Because we deals with employee s career and their lives. So we should keep in mind that our job is to organizing the organization.

Multitasking Job
The job of a HR professional is multitasking one day we are dealing with an employee’s personal issue and another day we deals in recruitment strategy, compliance and on the other hand tries to make the system easy going. So we need to handle all these things at once.

Business Ethics and Discretion
HR Professionals are the keepers of confidential information of an organization. As we serve the management from the top to bottom. We have also monitored the approach and performance of every employee to ensure proper ethics as per corporate and business ethics of every industry. 

Dual Focus
HR Professionals have to understand the needs of employee and employer both. There is time when you have to protect the interest of employees and on the other hand you have to protect the culture and beliefs of the organization. Decisions taken at those moments could be create an issue between employees but you have to protect the interest of both employee and employer while explaining your choice.

Employee Trust
As a HR Professional you have to win the trust of both employee and employer while implementing the policies and also you have to enforce the top management policies during your career. So you have won the trust of all concerned.

Fairness  
In other words that communication should be clear so that voices of employees are heard, laws and policies should be followed so the culture and respect of the organization is maintained.

Dedication of continuous improvement
HR professional should be dedicated towards the continuous growth of the organization should work like a catalyst to add the pace in the growth of an organization while performing their duties.

Team Orientation
Today’s organization is divided in to different hierarchies. Every team has a different reporting authorities and managers. So you have to understand the dynamics and bring the people together and trying to remove the attitude problems between them.

  • The best ways to minimizing workplace negativity is to take care of it from the first phase. There are few tips which will help you to reduce workplace negativity.
  • Take suggestions from the employees regarding workplace policies and procedures; get theirs opinions and ideas to make workplace better. Recognize the impact of change due to those opinions on different areas such as working conditions and hours, overtime and pay. These are those areas which are close to the mind set of every individual. So provide timely assistance to all these factors to minimize the workplace negativity.
  • Treat every employee carefully with fairness and consistency. Make workplace policies and procedure and publicize it in to the organization, so that everyone will come to know about these policies and procedure and follow it.
  • Do not create rules for everyone, as few of them creating the nuisance and violating the rules. Instead of making the rule you should minimize the number of rules and creating an approach the behavior of adult people at work.
  • Involve all the team in to decision making process so that nobody feels inferior to one another. It will also improve the team performance and making a strong bond between them.
  • Give equal opportunity to all according to his nature of job, qualification and age. Give them opportunity to grow and develop. Training which will give them the chance of promotion and development.
  • Give reward and recognition to everyone. So the people feel that their contribution is valued and it will create sense of recognition.

Few tips to improve your Resume Writing


Here we have few tips to improve your resume writing, these are the general tips which we should keep in mind while working on resume. So make sure before going for an interview that your resume is well written to grab the attention of interviewer.
  • One thing which we should keep in mind that the motive of the resume is to get an interview, so keep it to the point as you can instead of explaining everything which you had done throughout your career. 
  •  Adopt a simple layout of your resume, because most of the hiring manager has only a few minutes of having a look of you resume.
  • You can use only one or two fonts in your resume and font size should be 11-12.
  • Avoid using color.
  • Use attention grabbing words like developed, achieved etc instead of using typical words.
  • Revise your resume 2-3 times to check the grammatical mistakes.
  • Make sure your resume should be job oriented for which you are applying for.
  • Keep your sentences short as much as you can.
  •  Do not put much stress on those areas which are not related to your job.
  •  If you are a fresher then length of the resume should be 1-2 pages and for experienced not more than 3.
