Skills you must own ; as a HR Professional


Being an HR Professional I would like to share some of my views or you can say the skills which I realize that every HR professional must have. The job of a HR professional is a very responsible job. Every manager should have a positive approach while performing his duties to keep the mission and vision of the company in mind. The job of a HR manager starts from a recruitment and then it is keep moving with an employee life cycle till his exit from an organization. Here we have some skills which are important for every HR Professional in his career.

Organization
HR Professionals requires an organizing approach. Time management, organizing records and personal efficiency are the key skills of the human resource management. Because we deals with employee s career and their lives. So we should keep in mind that our job is to organizing the organization.

Multitasking Job
The job of a HR professional is multitasking one day we are dealing with an employee’s personal issue and another day we deals in recruitment strategy, compliance and on the other hand tries to make the system easy going. So we need to handle all these things at once.

Business Ethics and Discretion
HR Professionals are the keepers of confidential information of an organization. As we serve the management from the top to bottom. We have also monitored the approach and performance of every employee to ensure proper ethics as per corporate and business ethics of every industry. 

Dual Focus
HR Professionals have to understand the needs of employee and employer both. There is time when you have to protect the interest of employees and on the other hand you have to protect the culture and beliefs of the organization. Decisions taken at those moments could be create an issue between employees but you have to protect the interest of both employee and employer while explaining your choice.

Employee Trust
As a HR Professional you have to win the trust of both employee and employer while implementing the policies and also you have to enforce the top management policies during your career. So you have won the trust of all concerned.

Fairness  
In other words that communication should be clear so that voices of employees are heard, laws and policies should be followed so the culture and respect of the organization is maintained.

Dedication of continuous improvement
HR professional should be dedicated towards the continuous growth of the organization should work like a catalyst to add the pace in the growth of an organization while performing their duties.

Team Orientation
Today’s organization is divided in to different hierarchies. Every team has a different reporting authorities and managers. So you have to understand the dynamics and bring the people together and trying to remove the attitude problems between them.
